Fortinet’s video on GDPR and what it means


With EU’s General Data Protection Regulation coming into effect on May 25th, there are plenty of videos, whitepapers, and eBooks that explain the GDPR and what companies need to do to prepare for it.

The latest video from Fortinet talks about the General Data Protection Regulation and how it affects global companies.

With fines reaching up to 4% of global revenue or 20 million euros, whatever is higher, a requirement to report personally identifiable information breaches in 72 hours, and other strict requirements that will be forced when the GDPR comes into effect on May 25th, it has become a burning question and focus for many companies storing data from EU citizens.

According to the video, there is a report suggest that 27.7 percent of companies will experience a material data breach in next two years, which practically means that data breaches are inevitable.
